New News is Great News

December went by in a flash. I'm sure it did for everybody. Last year I didn't do any holiday baking because, Gosh darn it, It's not good for you. This year I got a little carried away as I had missed those cute little snowman cut out cookies and their adorable expressions I can give them. I thought I had a photo of them but sorry. I don't. These chocolate peppermint cookies are the only pic I have. They were yummy. The recipe is from Isa Chandra Moskowitz’s latest cookbook, Superfun Times Vegan Holiday Cookbook which focuses on vegan meals for the holidays. This has nothing to do with quilting or my wool but who doesn't like cookies? Anyway, the snowman cookies I was making gave me the idea to do a snow people pattern, which turned into a Winter themed Block of The Month. The pattern is almost done and will be available soon. Its a smallish sized project 32"x 32". I think it's cute I hope you will too.

White Wool. I needed some for my snowfolks and I've had lots of requests for it from stores and customers at shows. So I now will carry it 24/7 it's so pretty, whiter than natural but not crisp white. As sheep don't come that way!

Need Coordinating Thread? of course you do. These are the thread colors I used for stitching my snowflake mats. Blue Bonnet and Deep Sea. Yes, they have the same names as the Six Pack collections because I have hand dyed the wool thread to coordinate with the colors of the wool pieces in the bundle. 100% Wool hand dyed thread is available in 21 varigated colorations and natural.
