Finished!

I finally finished the gaucho pants I've been working on for the last week. These are made from recycling some of my sons old t-shirts plus adding some leftovers from a couple tops I'd made. They are super comfy, feels Like I'm wearing pjs.  I'm wearing them to work today anyway. Today is our monthly Serger Club and since they were constructed entirely on the serger, I can't wait to show everyone.
This is the pattern I used, KWIK SEW #3384. I Love KWIK SEW patterns, so easy to follow. I pieced together my fabrics (making new fabric) and then I cut out the pattern.
Just before adding the waistband. I used the ribbing option instead of a casing with elastic.

My Favorite Serger for hemming is my Bernina 009. Does a beautiful Cover and Chain stitch.

I will be teaching how to make your own in a class at Make It Sew in Chanhassen, Minnesota. You can check their website for the class dates or subscribe to the e-mails we send out there to get the updated newsletter.

  1. Fabulous gaucho pants! I also love kwik sew patterns. I am using some burda patterns, also, but they have little trickier instructions.
